TRAIN

We’ve hosted lots of sports teams, clubs and high performance athletes who all say that 9 Karapiro Road is a place where they can stay focussed and undisturbed.
They also enjoy the peace and tranquillity after a hard day of competing and many groups return here year after year.

We’ve specifically designed the venue with teams in mind; comfortable dorm rooms and self-contained coaches’ quarters ensure that everyone gets a good night’s rest,
while the commercial kitchen helps with keeping the team refuelled.

The large conference room is ideal for team strategy meetings and with 62-acres of wide-open spaces, woodland walks and tracks to spread out in, everyone has their own space.

A 24-hour service station at the end of our lane provides any forgotten essentials - day or night - and Cambridge is only 5 minutes away, with almost anything else you may need.
Lake Karapiro is also 5 minutes’ drive from our gate and the Avantidrome is 13 minutes by car.

Corporate Team Building

Getting out of the cubicles and into nature can really add a different angle to office team dynamics. Taking things outdoors is not only a fun thing to do - and good for morale - but can improve communication skills, encourage cooperation and re-invigorate the team.
Our affordable venue is ideal for outdoor challenges, with open spaces, bush trails, a shallow stream, 4 different orienteering courses and a secluded natural setting only 5 minutes from Cambridge.
The conference room and commercial kitchen tick the boxes for meetings and catering, and we can help you with every aspect of organising your time here so that you and your team get the most out of your experience.

Primary Industry Training

Companies, colleges and universities from all over New Zealand and beyond have found 9 Karapiro Road to be the ideal venue for practical training.
We’ve had groups come and learn about fencing, hydroponic growing, conservation, farming and safety.
Located in the heart of the Waikato, this is an ideal base camp for agricultural students and the Southern Hemisphere’s largest agricultural event, Fieldays, takes place annually at Mystery Creek, just 20 minutes away.

4WD Driving and Testing

We’re proud to host Land Rover’s off-roading day, when people from across the region gather to put the iconic vehicles through their paces.
The rugged terrain here at 9 Karapiro Road provides several fun and challenging driving trails for off-roading and organisations such as Northpower and various government departments have tested vehicles here.
To keep the property in pristine condition, we’ve set aside a limited number of days for 4-wheel drive events, so give us a call to enquire.
